​Here's another jazz trumpet lick by Wynton Marsalis that I’m working on this week. It's is a ii-V-I (in C major) that clearly outlines the harmony with variety of rhythms and syncopation. Man! Practice and listen how slick he emphasizes and uses altered notes in the V7 chord going into the one-chord. ​

Both jazz trumpet licks (#3 & #4) come from the solo I transcribed. There’s enough great material for me and anyone else to keep busy for a while.
