Practicing long tones on trumpet or any instrument can be boring. Hopefully these tracks help make long tones more enjoyable to play.

I provide you with a model to reference what a characteristic trumpet sound sounds like. This is especially important for developing/beginning trumpet players. In this play-along video, you'll hear first hear clicks for the tempo. Then you'll hear me play longtones on trumpet. I play these six notes: G G#/Ab A A#/Bb B C Play-along Instructions: 1) Listen to me play for two measures each. 2) Play exactly what you hear me play while I'm resting. 3) Or...Play when I play and rest when I rest. Play softly enough to fit your sound into my sound. Things to consider: *Use headphones to better focus on the sound of the trumpet. *Be careful not to listen to the tracks too loudly. You will damage your hearing if you do. *Play as softly as you can with a well-supported sound. *Use a tuner but do not stare at it to fix intonation. Use your ears to help you adjust.
